School Purpose

Utilizing a blended instructional approach that includes both virtual and face-to-face instruction, as well as a comprehensive, rigorous curriculum, Chicago Virtual Charter School (CVCS) strives to empower every student to flourish as an individual and citizen in a diverse, global society.

Chicago Virtual Charter School is a public charter school under the Renaissance 2010 Project of the Chicago Public Schools, a special project of former Mayor Richard M. Daley.  As charter school, CVCS is subject to the rules and regulations of the Illinois State Board of Education and Chicago Public Schools.
